USS Patterson DD-392 - Action Report, Out around 0900. USS Dale DD-353 - Action Report, out at 0907. Monaghan DD-354 - Action Report Out at 0908 trailing Dale. USS Blue DD-387 - Action Report, out at 0910. USS Farragut DD-348 - Action Report, out at 0927. USS Ralph Talbot DD-390 - Action Report, out at 0934. USS Henley DD-391 - Action Report Reports being underway at 0830 but does not list the specific time she cleared the channel. Also, she reports following USS MacDonough out, which is incorrect and was probably USS Monaghan as her report talks about the MacDonough making a depth charge attack in the harbor. These ships were from DesDiv2 moored at Buoy X-18 and DesDiv 8 at Buoy X-11. USS Nevada - made a run for it but was beached around 0910. USS St. Louis was underway before the attack ended but did not clear the channel before the end of the aerial assault. She was fired upon by two torpedos from Midget Sub E however, which did not hit her and impacted a coral reef between the two vessels. Some of the times may be off slightly, some ships reporting clearing the channel others clearing the buoys and I'm not sure how much of a difference there is. My memory tickles me that there may have been an Auxiliary ship that also cleared the harbor during the attack but I can't remember it right now... if I find more I'll post them. Aloha! I'm an amateur historian trying to write a web page on destroyers at Pearl Harbor during the attack. I am wondering if you would be willing to answer questions about CUMMINGS in general (not just during the attack) as well as questions and impressions about the attack. I am trying to talk to as many vets as possible in order to bring a big story to life.
